Job summary:To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Automation Engineer located in Milpitas, California US.The “Automation Engineer” would oversee continuously driving a culture of excellence in the organization and enabling waste removal activities using lean and six sigma approaches and tools and guiding actions to a sustainable conclusion.What a typical day looks like:CAD, robot and PLC programming, and other automation components.Testing: oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer. Inspection: bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools.Mechanical & Electrical Tools: taps and dies, alignment tools, measuring tools.Office skills: Office software to include, word processing, spreadsheet and presentationInterpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with severalTake ownership during the entire life cycle of automation projects, from concept to feasibility and from fabrication and test to production.Define, develop, and deploy automation into Flex sites. Design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and safety.Conduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to suppliers.Provide on-site support during machine build, debug and testing/qualification.Supervise installation and testing to verify requirements and specifications are met.Draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities. manufacturing solutions with the best combination of manual, semi-automation and/or full automation.
