Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function, in accordance with each client's individualized plan of care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations utilizing diagnostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities, ensuring precise identification of patient needs.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises while guiding clients in non-manual activities and facilitating their engagement in daily functional tasks.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure the effective delivery of therapeutic services, helping them acquire the skills needed for optimal patient support.
• Monitor patient progress by observing, recording, and relaying changes to treatment plans, collaborating closely with clients' physicians to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, OASIS assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to refine overall treatment strategies.
• Foster empowering relationships with clients and their families, advising on home adaptations and exercises to enhance independence and well-being.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in orthopedic rehabilitation and integrate evidence-based practices into your therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population dealing with a range of orthopedic conditions resulting from injuries, surgeries, or chronic ailments. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Active CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
