Work Environment

This role is located in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility. Our clinic is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and modalities designed to enhance patient care. You will collaborate closely with a team of interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, all focused on optimizing patient recovery within a supportive and engaging setting. The standard working hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient conditions to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific orthopedic issues.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions that focus on restoring mobility, enhancing strength, and improving overall physical function.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to guide treatment, employing various manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their responses and outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation processes, and the importance of adhering to treatment regimens.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment progress comprehensively using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT.
• Work collaboratively with other health professionals to ensure holistic patient care, enhancing the interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation.
• Involve patients in goal-setting to foster motivation and accountability during their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with a diverse outpatient population experiencing orthopedic challenges stemming from sports injuries, post-operative recovery, and chronic conditions. You will engage with patients of all ages, customizing treatment approaches to meet the individual needs and functional goals of each client.

Qualifications

• Required education: A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Possession of a valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated expertise and substantial experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing and implementing exercise regimens.
• Competence in utilizing EMR software, particularly Web PT, for meticulous documentation.
• A solid understanding of current physical therapy methodologies and techniques validated by leading research.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, particularly those who have worked with patients recovering from surgical interventions or managing chronic pain, will be highly valued. Familiarity with sports medicine practices and a background in evidence-based clinical decision-making will also enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
