TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Shelby, North Carolina, 28150!

Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Required Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP Must-Have: Ability to work in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum setting Description: This position requires expertise in Labor and Delivery nursing. The unit consists of 8 labor rooms, 3 triage rooms, 1 operating room suite, and 1 Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). On average, the nurse will manage 4 to 6 patients per day. Patient care will focus on Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care. The nurse will use staffing guidelines that allow for a ratio of 1:2 for inactive labor, 1:1 for active labor, and 1:3 to 1:4 for couplets. Duties include labor management, circulating cesarean sections, pre-operative and PACU care, triage, resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, and epidural management. Support will be available from a charge nurse and a resource nurse when available. Respiratory Therapy and Clientists are available 24/7 for support in newborn care. The position requires the ability to float to other facilities within the region as needed. Travel time will be compensated if floating mid-shift.
