An opportunity for an experienced international tax professional to take ownership of sophisticated cross-border engagements, advise multinational clients and drive tax planning strategies that go well beyond annual compliance. With approximately 80% of the role focused on planning and advisory , this position is suited to a technically strong tax professional who enjoys solving complex problems, identifying opportunities and building trusted client relationships. You'll work closely with Partners, lead engagement teams and help clients navigate increasingly complex international tax considerations, with the autonomy to make a meaningful contribution to both client outcomes and the wider practice. The opportunity Lead international tax planning — develop cross-border tax strategies, evaluate entity structures and identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency for multinational clients. Own complex engagements — oversee projects from initial analysis through implementation, ensuring technical quality, commercial relevance and timely delivery. Drive technical excellence — guide international tax calculations, review complex filings and advise on issues involving GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, BEAT and foreign tax credit optimization. Become a trusted adviser — work directly with clients and senior stakeholders, translating complex tax matters into clear, commercially focused recommendations. Influence and develop your team — provide technical direction, delegate effectively, mentor developing professionals and maintain high standards across client deliverables. Work across jurisdictions — coordinate with overseas advisers and international professional networks on multi-jurisdictional matters. Contribute to growth — support proposals, scope new engagements and help identify opportunities to expand client relationships. Compliance remains an important part of the position, including the review of complex US federal, state and international tax returns, but the emphasis is firmly on strategic planning, consulting and advisory work . What we're looking for This is a specialist appointment, and relevant technical depth is essential. 7+ years of public accounting experience , with substantial exposure to international taxation. Active CPA or EA credential. Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting. Demonstrable experience advising on international tax planning, cross-border structures and complex multinational tax matters. Strong technical knowledge of international tax provisions, ideally including GILTI, Subpart F, foreign tax credits and related planning considerations. Experience reviewing complex tax work, managing engagements and providing guidance to other professionals. Confidence communicating technical recommendations directly to clients and senior stakeholders. A broad domestic tax background alone is unlikely to be sufficient. We're particularly interested in professionals who can demonstrate meaningful international tax planning and consulting experience , rather than compliance experience alone. What's on offer? $130,000–$165,000 base salary , dependent on experience and location. Fully remote working arrangement.
