Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac procedural/Surgical Intermediate Care

Overview Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Procedural & Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (4HH East). Location & Shift City/State: Norfolk, VA. Work Shift: Third (Nights). Compensation & Assignment $70.00/hr pay rate Temporary Full Time 14‑week assignment Night Shift No benefits Department Overview The 24‑bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU provides care to pre‑ and post‑cardiac surgery patients, including bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac‑based procedures such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers. The unit also provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain. Dedicated to high quality care, patient outcomes, safety, and teamwork. RNs handle 3–4 patients, occasionally up to 5 depending on staffing. Education & Certifications Associate, Bachelor, Master, or diploma in Nursing required. Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). NIH Stroke Scale.
