Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Procedural & Surgical Intermediate Care Unit! Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Procedural & Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (4HH East) Sentara Heart Hospital - Norfolk, VA $70.00/hr pay rate Temporary Full Time 14-week assignment Night Shift No benefits Department Overview This 24-bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers. The unit also provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain. Dedicated to high quality care, patient outcomes, safety, and teamwork is a standard of the staff. Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level. At times, RNs could be up to 5 patients depending on staffing. Education Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required Certification/Licensure Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) NIH Stroke Scale Experience Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Sentara Healthcare Inc
