Department 02370 GCMG Sports Medicine: Lake Norman - Sports Medicine Status Full time Benefits Eligible Yes Hours Per Week 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information Mon-Fri 8a-5p Pay Range $26.55 - $39.85 Job Description Atrium Health MSKI Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Lake Norman provides comprehensive, team-based care for orthopedic and sports-related injuries. Athletic trainers collaborate with physicians and rehabilitation specialists to support injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and return-to-play planning for active individuals and athletes. This fast-paced outpatient setting emphasizes evidence-based care, patient education, and high-quality service across a diverse orthopedic population. The Athletic Trainer provides on-site medical support for local high school and college athletes, YMCA, and recreation departments. When necessary, the Athletic Trainer refers individuals to the appropriate specialist or General Practitioner. The Athletic Trainer provides patient education regarding injury prevention, anatomy, body mechanics, and rehabilitation. The primary mission of the Athletic Trainer is to progress athletes through rehabilitation protocols and return them functionally to a state comparable to pre-injury.
