Mobile, Alabama | Remedy Behavioral Health

Remedy Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to provide person-centered mental health services to individuals in long-term care and assisted living facilities throughout the Mobile area .

In this role, you will help clients navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, adjustment difficulties, and other behavioral health concerns. You will also collaborate with psychiatric providers, nursing staff, facility leadership, and other members of the care team.

What You’ll Do

As a Licensed Therapist with Remedy Behavioral Health, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy using appropriate evidence-based approaches.
• Deliver behavioral health services in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
• Support clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, adjustment challenges, and other mental health concerns.
• Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers, nursing staff, facility leadership, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical case consultations.
• Provide crisis intervention and appropriate follow-up when needed.
• Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and ongoing development.

Requirements:

 

What You’ll Bring

• An active, unrestricted Alabama license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) .
• A master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Experience in behavioral healthcare, geriatric care, or facility-based services is preferred.
• A compassionate, person-centered approach to therapy.
• The ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Physical and Travel Requirements

• Ability to travel to assigned facilities throughout the Mobile area as needed.
• Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday.
• Ability to perform occasional light lifting of less than 25 pounds.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in clinical and facility settings.
