Join our healthcare team as a Locum Tenens Otolaryngologist (ENT Physician) at a prestigious Level I Academic Trauma Center in New York. This locum tenens ENT job offers flexible call coverage, a mix of consults and emergent surgical procedures, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment.
Otolaryngology Job Details- Employment Type: Locum tenens physician (travel contract)
- Location: Staten Island, NY
- Facility: Academic Level I Trauma Center
- Start Date: April 1, 2026
- Schedule: 40 hours per week; 5 shifts/week, 8-hour days
- Call Coverage: Options for 24-hour at-home call (7am 7am) or night call only (5pm 7am); provider is at home and comes in when called
- Patient Population: Adult and pediatric ENT cases
- EMR System: Meditech
- Active New York medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology (ENT Physician)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Otolaryngology/ENT
- Skilled in managing both adult and pediatric ENT cases
- Proficient in emergent ENT procedures
- Fellowship training not required
- Temporary privileges available for expedited onboarding
- Provide consults for in-house patients, including floors and ED post-op follow-ups
- Respond to call-backs and provide scheduled coverage
- Perform a full range of ENT procedures, including:
- Epistaxis control
- Abscess drainage
- Facial trauma repair
- Tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy
- Tracheostomy
- Sinus surgery
- Head & Neck procedures
- Take patients to the OR for emergent ENT cases
- Collaborate with hospital staff, including anesthesia (available 24/7) and surgical PA support overnight
- Schedule OR cases as needed (shared responsibility with hospital)
- Participate in ED consults as required
