Job Details Employment Type: Travel RN Specialty: Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool / Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift, 12 hours Shifts Per Week: 3 scheduled shifts per week; 36 hours per week, with potential for 48 hours as needed Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday Floating: Required across pediatric care areas based on patient need and staffing Charting System: Epic experience required Location: Charlottesville, VA 22908 Job Requirements 2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience required Must be comfortable floating to NICU, Acute Pediatrics, Pediatric ED, and occasionally L&D/Mother-Baby when needed Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required; pending submission may be considered Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required Virginia RN license may be pending at time of submission, but must be active before the start date Travel nursing experience required BSN preferred Must be able to provide references and complete required compliance items before start Responsibilities Deliver high-quality pediatric nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents with varying levels of acuity Provide care in pediatric intensive care, neonatal care, acute pediatrics, and pediatric emergency settings as assigned Support high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation when caring for NICU patients Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilatory support, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive infusions, and advanced therapies Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, child life, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members Adapt quickly to changing patient needs while maintaining safety, compassion, and excellent clinical judgment Follow float pool policies and contribute as a reliable team member across multiple pediatric units Apply now for this travel nursing job in Charlottesville, VA and join a team dedicated to exceptional pediatric patient care.
