Preventive Maintenance Jr. Manager (PM Lead) Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondelēz International? We are looking for a talented Preventive Maintenance Junior Manager to oversee asset reliability and maintenance operations at the Portland Bakery. In this role, you will be responsible for managing asset risks, optimizing operational efficiency, and leading a team to ensure continuous and dependable production performance. Key Responsibilities People and Labor Management: Make decisions and deliver on overall safety, quality, and line efficiency for assigned lines or areas including remote support as needed Enable, manage, and participate in the Daily Meeting System for maintenance Develop, monitor, and execute plans through the maintenance & repair cell, building skills and providing training when applicable Lead daily maintenance meetings and drive accountability for performance Support recruitment of mechanics and oversee their interviews and offers Act as the primary liaison for union-related issues, fostering strong labor relations Build capabilities and train new Preventive Maintenance (PM) line leads Co‑lead tooling & workshop management, ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance in both areas Asset Reliability: Oversee the lubrication program and ensure proper execution Collaborate with the Reliability Engineer to develop and support Condition‑Based Maintenance (CBM), Time‑Based Maintenance (TBM) and SAP management and execution Control budget and implement initial maintenance cost improvements Work on low‑cost improvement projects to manage maintenance cost Lead the PM agenda in Small Group Activities (SGA) on critical line equipment and collaborate on standards (CILs, CLs, PMs) with subject‑matter experts such as Bosch and R.A. Jones Enable and facilitate transition from Progressive Maintenance (PM) to Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Lead capability agenda, develop skill matrix, and conduct training for trades technicians and operators on top skill gaps Lead breakdown / root‑cause analysis and implement actions to improve line performance, increase MTBF and reduce MTTR Prioritize, plan, and execute all abnormalities including safety and quality action items Mentor team leads as needed Support and ensure vertical startups, ensuring all assigned lines are production ready Productivity and Process Improvements: Work with the Core Centric Team to develop and execute projects based on online losses for each assigned line or area Investigate parts information to reduce obsolete parts in stockroom and improve inventory accuracy Research and implement best practices across multiple production lines Develop and maintain centerlines to ensure consistent equipment performance Optimize Shop‑Logix data to identify and recover from General Efficiency (GE) losses Labor & Scheduling: Create shutdown schedules and scopes of work for PM activity windows and shutdown weekends Coordinate weekend shift layouts based on plant needs and resource availability Develop and prioritize maintenance activities on assigned lines, assign names to tasks, and execute efficiently Cover for team leads during the week and weekend as needed Manage and organize workload in SAP, keeping the system clean and assigning work to proper revisions Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience in leading a maintenance team or similar role (preferred) Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance lead in a manufacturing environment (required) Proven experience in project management and operational leadership Computer proficiency (MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP and scheduling systems such as Kronos Strong communication and decision‑making skills Ability to build and maintain cross‑functional relationships More About This Role Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred Work Schedule: Monday‑Friday 7am‑3pm with ability to work overtime and weekends as needed May be required to work different shifts in addition to being on call for consultation during other shifts Salary and Benefits The base salary range for this position is $86,900 to $119,515; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
