About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Publications and Scientific Communications to lead the strategic planning and execution of scientific publications related to its pioneering research in the biotech industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of all scientific communication and publication activities, ensuring alignment with medical strategic objectives and compliance with industry best practices. This role involves leading a team of publication professionals, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving the development of high-impact scientific publications. The ideal candidate will have a degree in life sciences, medicine, or a related field, with over 10 years of experience in scientific publications, medical communications, or medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include the development and execution of a comprehensive publication strategy, leading the submission of various scientific materials, and driving broader medical communication initiatives. The role requires a deep understanding of scientific writing, data interpretation, and statistical concepts, as well as strong project management skills to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A proven track record in leading publication strategies and delivering high-impact peer-reviewed publications is essential. The candidate should be familiar with publication management systems and have a strong knowledge of industry guidelines and best practices. A preferred background includes a CMPP certification, experience in cardiology and/or rare diseases, and prior medical writing experience.
