Welder/PipefitterWe are seeking a skilled welder/pipefitter to join our team at a steel fabrication facility. The candidate will engage in structural steel fitting and flux core welding, while also performing tack welding and pipe fitting duties.ResponsibilitiesComplete fitting duties at a steel fabricator.Perform structural steel fitting.Execute flux core and tack welding.Read a tape measure accurately to the 1/16th of an inch.Handle pipe fitting tasks.Lift materials weighing up to 50lbs.Essential Skills1-2 years of experience in structural steel fitting and pipefitting.Proficiency in flux core welding and tack welding.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measures.Familiarity with fabrication, fitting, and welding processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with stainless steel, sheet metal, and aluminum welding.Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and pulse MIG welding techniques.Competence in using hand tools and grinding equipment.Understanding of AWS standards and mechanical construction principles.Join a dynamic team where your skills are valued and growth is encouraged. Work in a collaborative environment that emphasizes safety and innovation.Work EnvironmentThe position operates on a shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, Friday 5am-1pm, with occasional Saturdays from 5am-1pm.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
