Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will establish reliable daily production accountability, strengthen second-shift leadership, improve shift-to-shift communication, and put basic operating discipline around scheduling, maintenance, housekeeping, and performance management.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead daily manufacturing operations across multiple shifts.
• Coordinate production schedules, labor resources, maintenance priorities, and customer commitments.
• Build a culture where expectations are clear, performance is measured, and accountability is consistently enforced.
• Coach supervisors and employees through performance feedback, evaluations, and corrective action when necessary.
• Lead daily production meetings and ensure effective shift handoffs.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities and verify equipment is production-ready before returning it to service.
• Work closely with warehouse, inventory, shipping, and office staff to maintain operational flow.
• Implement and sustain workplace organization, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop supervisors and identify future leaders within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Five or more years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing front-line supervisors or production leads - not solely managing hourly production employees.
• Demonstrated success handling difficult employee situations through coaching, documentation, and corrective action.
• Experience conducting employee evaluations and performance improvement discussions.
• Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience with Lean, 5S, or other continuous improvement systems preferred.
• ERP experience preferred but not required.
