Information Technology SpecialistJoin Central Virginia Community College as an Information Technology Specialist and play a key role in supporting the systems that power our institution. In this position, you will provide both technical and functional support for enterprise applications that drive recruitment, class scheduling, advising, and student success. You will work closely with departments across the college to identify opportunities for improvement, implement system enhancements, and deliver practical solutions that streamline operations and improve outcomes. This role goes beyond day-to-day support; you will help shape how technology is used to support students and advance institutional priorities.As an Information Technology Specialist, you will proactively identify and implement solutions that increase efficiency, improve data quality, and enhance the user experience. Your work will directly contribute to a more effective, data-informed college environment.Responsibilities include providing comprehensive technical and functional support for EABNavigate (Student Success and Enrollment Success), reviewing and improving departmental business processes, supporting and integrating additional enterprise systems, troubleshooting and resolving technical and functional issues, developing training materials, managing system access in alignment with security, compliance, and audit requirements, and more.Required qualifications include strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with reporting tools, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with system integrations, excellent written and verbal communication skills, general understanding of software support principles, ability to document and improve business processes, knowledge of information security principles, understanding of project management principles, and demonstrated experience supporting and integrating software systems.
