What You've Accomplished Completion of a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related Engineering degree. At least 5 years of directly related experience. Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data (meetings, email, presentations, customer deliverables). Developed networks and maintains good interpersonal relationships. Works collaboratively within a team environment. Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills. Displaying leadership characteristics. Questioning attitude and practices self-checking. Advanced level of Microsoft Office and business unit specific software tools (ex. As an Experienced LOCA Safety Analysis Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include: Performing new or revising existing small break and large break loss-of-coolant accident (LOCA) analyses using a Framatome version of RELAP5. Evaluating and documenting the impact of plant and core design changes on existing LOCA analyses. Contributing to methods development activities in support of new fuel products. Contributing to the development of automation and software tool to improve operating efficiency. Interfacing with other engineering teams to ensure successful customer delivery. Your Total Rewards Package The range of base salary for the position is between $97,000 - $131,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
