Summary

Coordinate shipments to ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time.
Schedule transportation using efficient routes and appropriate carriers.
Prepare shipping documents, labels, and order records.
Communicate with warehouse staff, drivers, and management to resolve shipping issues.
Maintain accurate shipment tracking records and daily reports.

Responsibilities

Review shipping paperwork for accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
Obtain shipping quotes and schedule transportation based on cost, route efficiency, and delivery requirements.
Verify case counts, pallet counts, dimensions, weights, and management approvals for any items removed from an order.
Prepare Bills of Lading (BOLs), log orders, print picking labels, update carrier websites, and maintain daily shipping records.
Send daily order tracking updates to the Warehouse Manager and assist with office duties, including answering phones and greeting drivers and visitors.

Requirements

Basic math, reading, and writing skills, with strong attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with BOL-s
Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, meet deadlines, and resolve shipping issues efficiently.
Ability to learn and follow shipping procedures, vendor routing guidelines, and company policies; previous shipping, logistics, or warehouse experience is beneficial.
