Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 12 months of travel experience is preferred.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Connecticut license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Yale and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Yale.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Trach experience required. Ventilator experience required. Will take 1.5 years exp IF from a level 1 trauma center, large hospital.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. Long-term pulmonary and Tele Med/Surg unit with long-term trach and vent patients, as well as general telemetry medical/surgical patients. Patient population includes respiratory failure, COVID, flu, pneumonia, diabetes, CHF, and COPD. Typical staffing ratios: days 1:4, nights 1:5, weekends 1:4. May take up to a 5 non-vent patient assignment. Pulmonary vented and vent-weaning patients.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No on-call required.

Floating Requirements: May float frequently between sister units NP1 and EP 4-6. Could float to ED to care for boarders.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027, 01/18/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
