JR 5491 LCSW Clinician Los Angeles, CA 90004 Salary: $37.40 - $45.98 per hour Pay Frequency: 24 Pay Periods Per Year Full Time Non-Exempt Driving Required This position requires active licensure with the BBS** PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our ICMS Special Programs Team as the LCSW Clinician, working out of our main office on Madison Avenue in Los Angeles. About Path Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing. About Our Supportive Housing Services Our Supportive Housing Services (SHS) programs provide Intensive Case Management Services (ICMS) in a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) setting to individuals who have experienced homelessness and have a history of chronic health, mental health, and/or co-occurring conditions. Services are centralized and provided to clients living on-site to ensure ease of access to the resources necessary for long-term housing stabilization, improving their quality of life and community integration. About The Licensed Clinician As part of the ICMS Team, the Clinician provides clinical-level support to interdisciplinary teams, promoting mental wellness for clients through direct client assessment and intervention. This role offers clinical context and insight in team meetings and case conferencing, primarily focusing on crisis intervention, risk assessment, psychosocial rehabilitation, and transitional mental health services while connecting clients to care. Position Responsibilities Use clinical training to provide crisis intervention and risk assessment to any program client in need. Provide mental health training and consultation to program staff. Accompany staff on outreach visits and home visits to conduct assessments and provide clinical support. Conduct biopsychosocial assessments as needed per the program's policies and procedures. Connect clients to appropriate levels of mental health and SUD treatment and coordinate care with client's mental health and/or SUD provider. Provide temporary mental health counseling until they can be connected to treatment. Collaborate with the client's assigned case manager/clinical case manager and other team members. Maintains documentation standards as required by the Program and PATH policies, including completing case file notes in a timely manner and maintains a complete, accurate, and current client file with all required documents. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Analyze and evaluate information and situations, identify key issues, consider alternatives, and make logical decisions based on sound reasoning that will achieve the desired outcome. Ethics and Boundaries: Maintain ethical and professional standards, demonstrating honesty, integrity, and a commitment to doing the right thing in all situations while maintaining professional boundaries. Minimum Qualifications Current and active licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPCC). One (1) year of experience as a Clinical Supervisor in a program(s) that serves populations experiencing homelessness and/or populations suffering from comorbidity. Mandatory Requirements Regardless of qualifications, candidates must: Have employment eligibility verification Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire: Tuberculosis Test Background Screening Drug Test DRIVING Driving is an essential function of this position. CALIFORNIA-BASED WORK EXPECTATIONS We are a California employer. Therefore, all regular and customary work must be performed within the state. Approval for work outside of the office, does not establish approval for work to be conducted outside of California. PATH does not offer fully remote positions. While some roles may include a schedule that involves multiple designated worksites or approved off-site locations (e.g., hybrid schedules), this does not imply that work will be performed from home. Many positions are fully on-site with no off-site work. All work schedules are determined by the responsibilities of the role and operational requirements, and may be adjusted at any time.
