Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care to patients or assigned groups in the ED according to standards of care and the nursing process
- Collect relevant data, assess patient status, analyze findings, and contribute to developing individualized care plans
- Implement plans, coordinate care delivery with the interdisciplinary team, and promote a safe and healing environment
- Monitor patient progress, adjust care as needed, and participate in discharge planning and patient/family education
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks appropriately
- Maintain proficiency with the EPIC EMR and comply with department policies and procedures

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) or as required by the assignment
- Acute care/ER nursing experience: at least two years of recent practice
- CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor
- ACLS (AHA or ARC) and PALS (AHA or ARC) certifications required
- Facility-specific/department-specific BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentials as applicable
- EPIC EMR experience is required
- BSN preferred (Bachelor's Degree in Nursing)
- Ability to work the night shift in a rural critical access hospital environment
