Logistics Manager

Overview The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the Logistics Team and associated resources successfully manage the timely, efficient, and cost-effective procedures of the logistics team. The ideal candidate will be successful through the use of problem solving, vendor management, and analytical skills. The logistics manager will ensure that all routes are completed in a timely and effective manner. Success as a logistics manager requires good oral and written communication skills, leadership traits, organization, time-management skills, an ability to interpret financial data and estimate costs, and the willingness to be on call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of Logistics experience is required with at least 3 years managing a logistics team. Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Proven ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a variety of internal/external customers is required. Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with minimal supervision is required. Experience managing and creating delivery routes. Customer service experience. Strong Microsoft Office skills required (Outlook, Excel, Access). Experience with routing software, preferably Route4me. Excellent driving record. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (English / Spanish) highly preferred. Physical Demands Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping. May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 50lbs.
