Physical Therapy Assistant

Schedule: 8 hours per day

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 14 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Requirements:

• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Current driver's license
• Reliable transportation and insurance
• 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administers the physical therapy treatment plan developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Executes therapeutic exercises, massage, and modalities (heat, light, cold, electrical) as prescribed.
• Documents client status accurately and submits required clinical paperwork timely.
• Coordinates and attends educational meetings and contributes to departmental in-services.
• Communicates equipment failures, supply issues, and client changes to supervisory staff.
• Schedules clients and handles various office tasks.
• Applies infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities.
• Accepts clinical assignments in line with education and competence.
• Promotes compliance with third-party payers through education and assistance.
