Specimen Processing Support Services Team Lead

Labcorp is seeking a Support Services Team Leader to join our team in San Diego, CA . Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, rotating weekends, additional days and hours may be needed based on business needs. Job Responsibilities Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the Department Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas Encourage process improvements and best practices Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy Resolve any production errors as requested by management Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary Engage in continuous process and service level improvements Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures Perform administrative duties as needed Minimum Qualification High School Diploma or GED equivalent 3 years of experience or more Preferred Qualification Current or prior Labcorp experience Associates degree or higher 3 months or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience 3 months of supervisory or leadership experience Additional Job Standards Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
