Inventory Control Specialist

Inventory Control Specialist Location: Houston, TX 77064 Business Unit: CESBG Job Classification: Exempt Summary: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records across all storage locations and be responsible for overseeing material planning, procurement, inventory analysis, and supplier coordination to ensure smooth operations across departments. This role ensures proper inventory levels are maintained by working off of Excel spreadsheets to collect data and to support operational demands, coordinates with various departments to resolve discrepancies, and implements best practices for inventory control, stock rotation, and warehouse organization. Key Responsibilities Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/WMS systems Perform regular cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliations Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with warehouse and logistics teams Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of inventory items Collaborate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to forecast stock needs Assist in implementing inventory management procedures and process improvements Prepare inventory reports and communicate stock status to relevant departments Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards Basic Qualifications Proven 4+ year experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., SAP) Strong attention to detail,problem-solving skills and proficient working withinExcell Good math and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications Education High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification preferred WHY JOIN US Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.
