As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Tablet Reporting Patrol in La Crescenta, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and use technology to document activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, classrooms, parking areas, athletic facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
