Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience across ICU, ER, and nursery settings for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at a hospital in Biddeford, ME.

Details

• Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week travel assignment
• Respiratory therapy department within a ~159-bed hospital
• Patient population spans newborn to adult, including ICU, ER, nursery (Level 1), and med/surg floors
• Responsibilities include treating pediatric patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation in the ER, attending high-risk C-sections, and participating in newborn resuscitation
• Equipment used includes Dräger V500, V60 BiPAP, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilator, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, NeoP​uff, and RAM cannula
• EMR: Epic
• RT floats to all areas of the hospital, including a 25-mile float between facilities as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Weekend hours required

Requirements

• RRT certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU, ER (including pediatric patients), and nursery/resuscitation team settings
• Experience attending high-risk deliveries required
• Proficiency with Dräger V500, Hamilton T-1, NeoP​uff, and related respiratory equipment required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
• NICU and/or PICU experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Driver's license required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across all hospital departments, including adult ICU, ER, Level 1 nursery, and med/surg floors
• Serve as part of the resuscitation team for high-risk deliveries
• Education modules may be assigned during onboarding and throughout the contract via the facility's Learning Management System
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; AirPods, laptops, and personal cell phone use are prohibited on the unit
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local; local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this at the time of consideration
