Job Description

A critical role for a Registered Respiratory Therapist with expertise in ICU and ER settings, including treating pediatric patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation. The therapist will also provide support in the nursery, particularly in high-risk C-sections and the resuscitation team.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilation for adult and pediatric patients in ICU and ER settings.
• Facilitate resuscitation efforts for newborns in high-risk situations.
• Utilize respiratory therapy equipment including Drager V500 ventilators, Hamilton T-1 ventilators, and neopuff.
• Document patient care activities in the EPIC system.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams across different hospital units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar clinical settings.
• Experience with high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation.
