New Era Staffing is partnering with an established industrial plastics manufacturer to hire a Janitorial & Production Associate for their Tacoma facility. This position is primarily responsible for keeping the manufacturing facility clean, safe, and organized, while also assisting the production team with entry‑level manufacturing duties as time permits. Job Title: Janitorial & Production Associate Location: Tacoma, WA Pay: $18.00/hr to start Schedule: Monday – Friday, Swing Shift Benefits Offered: Weekly Pay, Paid Training, Paid Sick Leave, Affordable Healthcare Plan, Simple IRA Employment Type: Full-Time What You’ll Do Janitorial & Facility Cleaning – Primary Responsibility Clean and maintain production, warehouse, office, breakroom, and common areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors throughout the facility Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and other shared spaces Empty trash and recycling and dispose of waste appropriately Wipe down surfaces, equipment areas, doors, windows, and other high‑touch areas Restock restroom and cleaning supplies Help maintain clean and organized workspaces throughout the facility Identify and report maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning products and chemicals Maintain janitorial supplies, tools, and equipment Production Support – As Time Permits Once daily cleaning responsibilities are completed, you may assist the production team with duties such as: Basic machine operation and production support Material handling and moving products throughout the facility Deburring, finishing, and cleaning manufactured products Packaging, labeling, and preparing finished products Inspecting products for basic quality requirements Keeping production areas organized and free of debris Assisting machine operators and other production employees as neededFollowing all safety procedures and wearing required PPE What We’re Looking For Previous janitorial, custodial, warehouse, or industrial cleaning experience is helpful but not required Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality Self‑motivated and able to stay productive with limited supervision Willingness to perform both janitorial and entry‑level production work Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Work Environment This position works in an active industrial manufacturing facility. The role requires regular physical activity and exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including machinery, noise, dust, and production materials. Required PPE and appropriate training will be provided.
