Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Part-Time Warehouse & Administrative Assistant to support daily warehouse operations and office tasks at a seed company. This is a warehouse-focused position that requires regularly pulling orders, handling grass seed bags weighing up to 50 lbs., preparing shipments, and maintaining inventory. The individual will also assist with general office and administrative duties as needed.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with physical labor, and able to transition between warehouse and office responsibilities throughout the workday.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Shipping Duties (Primary Focus):

• Pull and prepare customer orders using pick tickets.
• Lift, carry, and move bags of grass seed weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Pack, label, and process outgoing shipments.
• Assist with inventory tracking, updates, and organization.
• Prepare shipping paperwork and coordinate freight shipments.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
• Assist with receiving, handling, and moving seed products as needed.
• Track and process seed testing materials and related records.

Administrative & Office Duties:

• Answer phones and assist with general office communications.
• Sort mail, file paperwork, and maintain organized records.
• Update inventory and shipment information using computer systems.
• Assist with data entry, spreadsheets, and basic Excel tasks.
• Track and file seed testing paperwork and update company records.
• Assist with ordering office supplies and light office cleaning.
• Help with additional administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and performing physical tasks throughout the day.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to learn warehouse procedures, shipping processes, and administrative systems.
• Previous warehouse, shipping, inventory, or office experience is a plus.

Compensation & Schedule:

• Pay range of $18–$23/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Part-time schedule of approximately 2–3 days per week.
