Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical abilities by reviewing their history, performing assessments, and defining treatment goals.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment protocols based on patient evaluations and individual healthcare needs.
• Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to adjust treatment plans in response to patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with organizational protocols and state regulations.
• Adhere to established productivity metrics, ensuring efficient use of time while providing high-quality patient care.
• Participate actively in community wellness initiatives and organizational outreach programs to enhance patient awareness and education.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and mentorship of junior therapists or interns.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse patient population includes individuals recovering from sports injuries, work-related disorders, and post-operative rehabilitation. A deep understanding of orthopedic pathology and a commitment to continuous improvement in treatment strategies are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• State licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
• A strong foundation in orthopedic conditions and rehabilitation techniques is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• While previous experience in orthopedic physical therapy is advantageous, new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation software is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 , commensurate with experience and education. In addition to salary, benefits include:
