As a Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive patient care and supporting dental professionals during a high-volume daily schedule. You will assist chairside with various dental procedures, manage sterilization and infection control protocols, maintain accurate records, and help coordinate inventory. Proficiency with dental software, particularly OpenDental, and radiography assistance are essential. This position reports directly to the Office Manager and offers opportunities for professional growth through external courses.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
• Manage patient care for a high volume of over 20 patients per day
• Support dental radiography and ensure compliance with radiography protocols
• Maintain sterilization and infection control procedures
• Keep accurate patient and treatment records using OpenDental software
• Perform inventory management for dental supplies and equipment
• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and understanding

Required Qualifications

• Certificate in Dental Assisting
• Radiography Certification
• Knowledge of dental radiography and infection control procedures
• Strong patient communication skills
• Expertise in sterilization techniques
• Proficiency with dental software, specifically OpenDental
• Excellent time management and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a dental team

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in dental assisting
