Host – C. Ellet’s Steakhouse We are looking for talented and experienced hosts to join our team of hospitality professionals. At C. Ellet’s we pride ourselves in being the premier dining experience of The Battery, offering top tier steaks, incredible seafood, and delicious craft cocktails. C. Ellet’s pays homage to the great American steakhouses and Chef Hopkins’ time spent cooking in New Orleans. From fast‑paced game days to relaxing private dining experiences, C. Ellet’s is a convivial place for all to gather and celebrate. What is the Job? As a Host, you will be responsible for engaging with and taking care of our guests, greeting them, guiding people through the space, and introducing menus to the table. You will create a welcoming and memorable experience by actively engaging with guest needs and questions. You will be an active communicator with the front of house team, informing managers and relevant servers of allergies, special requests, and service flow. Responsibilities Greeting and seating guests Managing reservations and maintaining an updated reservation book with dining flow to ensure accurate turn times and wait lists Setting up the restaurant in preparation for and during service Work as a team player, helping your fellow team with guest interactions and duties to contribute to a positive working environment Possess the ability to positively and proactively handle guest concerns Able to prioritize multiple tasks and openly communicate with your manager and fellow service team about next steps Consistent adherence to the uniform policy Reports for duty on time and manages one’s shift, communicating with the management team when leaving their station for breaks or family meal Our Ideal Host Has a passion for restaurant hospitality with a willingness to continue education Has a kind, friendly, and welcoming attitude with a desire to serve others and provide memorable hospitality Works constructively with their teammates, celebrating one another and lending a helping hand Maintains an awareness of current marketing initiatives and website content Demonstrates our core values of integrity, passion, respect, and curiosity Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older 1+ year(s) of relevant host experience OpenTable experience preferredExcellent communication skills, via phone and in person Able to stand for long periods of time; occasionally kneel, bend, and crouch as required to reach items at varying height levels Able to work in a fast-paced environment calmly and effectively What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience with performance-based raises and promotions Medical, dental, vision, life and short-term disability for eligible full-time employees 25% discount at all Hopkins and Company restaurants and 10% discount at all Hopkins and Company retail shops Ongoing training and education opportunities Daily family meal Employee referral bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr
