Cardiac SonographerGeneral Certification Requirements (BLS, etc): BLSCertifications/ARDMS (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT): RCS, RDCSWould like Peds but Adults required.How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 2-3 per locationWill they have to float/cover any other areas? Yes we have 4 locations. 2 Locations at each YRMC Campus one Inpatient and one outpatient.Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job DutiesRequired experience: TEE, TTEPreferred experience: Treadmill/Dobutamine Stress Test Echo.Job Duties Required: Structured Reporting Experience or 'Must have' skills Minimum 2 years experience. Average # of scans/studies per day 6-9EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use EMR - Cerner PACS- Merge CardioDepartment Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens) Phillips Ultrasound Radiology Supervisor or Lead TechDo they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? NoRadiologist in-house? Yes for inpatient areas, Tests are read by the cardiologist.Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) Yes Sonographers start IVs, this is a preferred skill as they push an echo enhancing agent.Shifts & Scheduling 4-10 h Shifts. Sunday - Saturday 0630-1700Weekend Requirement rotatingHoliday Requirement LikelyCall or Standby requirement? Yes, varies and can address further in post interview follow up.Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? Scrubs are not provided.
