Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mobile MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week outpatient assignment requiring ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and proficiency with general and advanced MRI procedures including cardiac and breast imaging.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting in a mobile MRI unit
• Primary schedule is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (12:30 PM–9:00 PM); 4x10 or 3x12 shift configurations may also be considered
• Some Saturdays required (8:00 AM–4:00 PM); when a Saturday is worked, only 4 weekday shifts are worked that week to maintain a 40-hour week
• No on-call requirement
• Procedures include general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI
• Siemens MRI equipment experience required; Sectra PACS experience preferred
• Charting is performed in Epic; Epic experience is preferred
• May be required to float between two nearby clinic locations

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; state license is not required but may be applicable — license required if applicable
• Proficiency in general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI
• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• SSN and valid Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; approval is based on manager and unit needs
• Online modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
• Teal top and black pants are the required scrub colors
• A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency; the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
