Athletic Director: Programs & Compliance Leader

POSITION: Athletic Director (Alexandria-Monroe Junior-Senior High School) POSTING DATE: December 9, 2025 CONTRACT BEGINS: January 5, 2026
REQUIREMENTS:
- Indiana Teaching License in Administration and Supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Successful experience with sports and Extra Curricular Administration
- Strong understanding of Sports Safety and Law, IHSAA Rules, and Facility Management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Administer policies and procedures in compliance with the Indiana High School Athletic Association, Federal, State and Local Board Policy- Represents the school at athletic conference, county and state meetings
- Manages the use of the Jr. High/High School athletic facilities by scheduling team practices and athletic
- Coordinates necessary supervision, associated workers, athletic trainers and security for athletic events
- Ensures athletic fields are regulation prepared for contests
- Organizes team practice and facility schedules
- Contracts officials for athletic contests
- Contracts athletic contests with other schools
- Maintains mini-buses and van schedules and ensures they are fueled and ready for use
- Maintains student eligibility records and award records
- Resolves conflict that may arise within the Athletic Department
- Supervise the acquisition, cleaning, repair and storage of athletic equipment inventory
- Manages the athletic department concession stand operations and vending machines
- Oversees the athletic budget, sports team accounts
- Secures athletic department sponsors and coordinates team fundraisers
- Provide/arrange for all required trainings for coaching staff
- Evaluate all coaching staff and make recommendations to the Principal, Superintendent and/or School
