Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 9 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Missouri Health Care and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Missouri Health Care.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Clinicians who live within 51-75 miles from the facility will be considered local.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Prefer 2 years, but willing to consider 1.5 years of Med-Surg experience for quality candidates.
Heparin drips preferred.
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests:
RTO is not granted for holidays, but travelers may work with the unit on which holidays they want to work to meet the 50% holiday requirement.

Unit Details:
Adult floor-status internal medicine patients with a wide range of medical diagnoses, including diabetes complications, COPD exacerbation, ETOH/drug withdrawal, renal failure, and cellulitis.
Includes video monitoring capability, sitter rooms for up to 2-4 patients, ceiling lifts, and bariatric rooms.
Charge nurse and supervisor on every shift.
Average ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights; day shift may go up to 6 and night shift up to 7.

Shift & Scheduling:
Call required.
Assigned weekends required.
Work 50% of holidays that fall within the contract.

Floating Requirements:
Required to float to MS and MS/Tele.
