Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong neuro/spine surgical experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level I/II trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a Level I and Level II trauma teaching hospital
• Day shift, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Cerner charting preferred but not required for consideration
• Mandatory floating required across appropriate units
• Required to take call
• Required to work assigned weekends
• Rotating shifts, holiday, and inclement weather coverage required

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Level I and Level II trauma experience required
• Strong neuro/spine surgical experience required
• Experience with vascular, neurology, orthopedic, robotic, ENT, and surgical oncology procedures
• Scrub role

Additional Information

• Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures including vascular, neurological, orthopedic, robotic, and ENT surgeries
• Physically demanding role requiring ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs
• Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses in a 24/7 healthcare facility
• Required to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, with none allowed during the first week due to orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible to apply
• Travelers residing 51-74 miles away may be offered a local rate
