Schedule/Shift: Full-Time | Days (No weekends) | On-Call as Needed

Job Summary What You Will Do in the Role:

• You will have an understanding of aseptic techniques and apply the knowledge in assuring maintenance of a sterile field and in assisting in a procedure or prepping a patient for surgery.
• You will demonstrate knowledge of which areas need to be prepped for the different kinds of procedure.
• You will assess the patient prior to surgery and establish that the patient understands the procedure being done and that a "timeout" be done prior to any procedure with the rest of the perioperative team.
• You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
• You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.

Qualifications Required:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
• Associated Degree of Nursing required
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
• Current BLS and ACLS Certification are required.
• CNOR is preferred.
• 1-year of clinical CVOR experience is preferred; must be proficient in [Operating Room, OR, Surgery, Surgical Services, Cardiovascular] - in an acute care setting
• Will consider a seasoned OR Nurse (1+ years of exp) and will cross train them to CVOR

Additional Information:

• On Call Requirement 1 weekend per month, 3-4 weekdays
• Hours of Operation: 7 am 5 pm
• 10-hour shifts; 4 days per week
• 12-hour shifts; 3 days per week
• Must be 30-min commutable to the facility
• 3 Rooms: 2 for CV, 1 Hybrid Vascular
• 1:1 ADC & 2-4 Hearts per Day
• Preforms over 400 pen hearts per year

Compensation: Salary Range: $38.03/hr. - $57.05/hr. (based on years of experience) On-Call Rate: $5/hr. Relocation: Case by Case Basis Sign-On Bonus: Case by Case Basis
