Parish Coordinator & Assistant to the Rector

Job Summary

Work in a pastoral setting, managing information concerning membership-related events and providing administrative support for the rector and the vice rector/chief of staff.

Job Responsibilities

Membership:

• Maintain integrity of parishioner database using Realm software suite.
• Process changes in membership status including but not limited to births, baptisms, confirmation, transfers in or out.
• Coordinate details of weddings and funerals with clergy, parishioners, parishioner families, and altar guild volunteers.
• Provide support for newcomer and welcoming ministry.

Assistant to the Rector:

• Coordinate leadership (Vestry) meetings and activities which includes the preparation and dissemination of meeting materials.
• Maintain a calendar of clergy vacation and out-of-office schedules and assists with preparation of monthly clergy worship schedule.
• Assist with planning and preparation of all staff meetings and other special events as directed by the rector. 
• Provides support as needed to the rector and the vice rector/chief of staff.
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of administrative experience
• Proficient working with Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
• Ability to maintain utmost professional demeanor and confidentiality
• Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate within a team-oriented environment
• Creativity, adaptability, and resourcefulness
