Healthcare Business Office Manager

Overview Healthcare Business Office Manager (Full‑time, exempt) – responsible for directing the accounting functions of the facility in accordance with accepted accounting and cost reimbursement principles of the long‑term care industry. The role includes overall billing and accounting operations for a skilled nursing or assisted living facility, overseeing business office staff, and ensuring timely and accurate medical billing for Medicare and managed care programs. Responsibilities Direct all accounting functions and maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and reimbursement principles. Oversee the overall billing and accounting operations of the facility. Supervise and mentor business office staff. Ensure accurate and timely medical billing for Medicare and managed care programs. Maintain strong communication with clinical staff and external partners. Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives in business operations. Qualifications Minimum 2–3 years of experience in healthcare billing within a long‑term care or skilled nursing environment. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and time‑management. Experience in medical billing, including Medicare and managed care billing. Prior supervisory or leadership experience highly preferred. Positive, can‑do attitude and commitment to fostering a positive work environment.
