About the Role
The Company is seeking an inaugural Chair of Pediatrics and Pediatrician-in-Chief to lead a critical partnership that aims to expand pediatric training, enhance patient care, and strengthen research. This leadership role is pivotal in uniting two cornerstone institutions with a shared purpose of improving the health and well-being of the community's children. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting and maintaining a high-caliber faculty, providing clinical strategic guidance, and leading efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care. Advocacy for children is also a central focus, and the Chair will be actively involved in setting the advocacy agenda. The ideal candidate for this role at the company will be a passionate leader with a strong desire to improve systems and processes, and the ability to engage and develop faculty. They must have a thorough understanding of a complex children's health system, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to world-class education and research. The Pediatrician-in-Chief will work closely with research leaders to foster innovation and translational research and will be a staunch advocate for rigorous and innovative education programs. A medical degree (MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent), board certification in pediatrics, and the ability to practice clinically in Florida are required. The role demands a collaborative leader who can work effectively with multiple partners and stakeholders to achieve the organization's goals.
