Camp Deer Run is a Christian youth camp serving more than 1,500 families each year through summer camps, camp-hosted retreats, and rental retreats. At Camp Deer Run, we believe in authentic childhood. Summers are meant to be spent roaming the woods, finding God in His creation, and being surrounded by friends - real friends, not virtual ones. We provide simple, rustic summer camps and retreats that allow young people to disconnect from the world and their screens, and reconnect with God through imaginative, old-fashioned fun, genuine, Christ-centered friendships, and meaningful discipleship with college-aged staff. As a result, kids feel free to be themselves without fear, to be creative, to build meaningful and encouraging relationships, and most importantly, to view faith as a personal decision rather than an inherited tradition. Since its beginning in 1958, Camp Deer Run has become a generational ministry, a shared experience between parents and their children, and now even their grandchildren. We are prayerfully seeking a new CEO to honor and preserve the rich history and tradition of Camp Deer Run while also following God\'s leading toward the plans He has for the future of this ministry. Reports to: Board of Directors Direct reports: 5 to 6 full-time staff Role Purpose The CEO will be the public face of Camp Deer Run and the Board’s partner in carrying out its mission. The CEO sets direction, owns major donor relationships, and holds the leadership team accountable for operational and ministry excellence. Key Responsibilities Execute the strategic plan of Camp Deer Run in partnership with the Board of Directors. Build a high-functioning leadership team of five directors/managers, and provide accountability for each in their responsibilities and roles. Own major donor relationships; partner with the Director of Development on fundraising strategy and execution. Serve as the primary Board partner: prepare materials, maintain the reporting cadence, and support the Board Chair. Ensure financial health: lead budget development, oversee the annual 501(c)(3) audit, monitor and approve major expenses. Represent Camp Deer Run publicly and in supporting churches, the Christian Camping and Conference Association, and community networks. Provide spiritual leadership for the organization, both for Full-Time and Summer Staff. Be a leader of leaders – set expectations for other staff members and provide actionable feedback throughout the year. Qualifications Full alignment with Camp Deer Run’s Statement of Religious Beliefs and Code of Conduct. Proven executive leadership, including managing other leaders. Strong business acumen across strategy, operations, budgeting, and compliance. Track record with major donor relationships and/or capital campaigns. #J-18808-Ljbffr
