This role emphasizes financial accuracy, compliance, meeting multiple client deadlines and teamwork for efficient operations. Chazin & Company takes pride in its commitment to excellence, which is reflected in proactive client communication and exceptional customer service.Responsibilities of the Onboarding Senior Accountant:Assist in onboarding new clients ensuring that their financial transactions have been properly recorded.Comprehensive accounting services, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger managementPrepare month end close workbooks for multiple clients including balance sheet reconciliations culminating in the issuance of monthly financial statementsTracking and reporting of restricted funds in order to prepare a net asset roll forwardAssistance with grant management and reportingAudit management (including single audits): preparation of schedules, support during audit, coordination of all final schedulesAssistance with 990 preparation and other local, state, and federal filingsSpecialized reporting to support client decision-makingOrganization and maintenance of client files including prior year audit and tax recordsWork under the guidance of the controller, to assist with analysis, cash flow and budget preparationQualifications of the Onboarding Senior Accountant:A bachelor's degree in accountingA minimum of five years general accounting experienceMultiple client or multiple entity experience preferredExtensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Extensive experience with data management, record keeping and web-based applicationsAdvanced knowledge Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks onlineExcellent organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication skillsExperience in audit preparationAbility to function well in a team-oriented virtual environmentThe desire and ability to become proficient with SAGE Intacct and other third-party applicationsThe ability to work from home professionally as well as independentlyNonprofit accounting experience preferredWe offer a 100% remote work environment, a flexible work schedule, an attractive benefits program, competitive compensation, work life balance, and a people-focused culture.Flexible SchedulesAn annual all-employee paid retreatMedical, Dental, VisionLife, STD & LTDHSA/FSA401(k) with company match & 100% vesting schedule after 1st year15 days PTO10 Holidays, including 1 Flex DayEmployee Reward & Recognition ProgramSupplemental Health insurance policiesLegal planPet AssureWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
