Maintenance Mechanic $30 - $35 per hour | Trenton, NJ | On-site | Permanent Maintenance Mechanic Opportunity / $30-$35 Per Hour Depending On Experience / Great Benefits & Growth Opportunity A bit about us: A well-established plastics manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving industrial machinery and mechanical systems. Competitive compensation based on experience Stable company with long-term growth opportunity Hands-on role with variety and technical challenges Collaborative team environment Benefits package available Job Details Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery, motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and related equipment Diagnose equipment issues and identify root causes of mechanical failures Repair or replace defective components using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and measuring instruments Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Adjust machine settings and operating parameters for optimal performance Support molding machine operations, including setup adjustments and troubleshooting Repair EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) and related automation components Install and maintain conduit, wiring, copper piping, and PVC piping Use testing equipment such as voltage/ohm meters, micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools Maintain spare parts inventory and assist with ordering replacement components Document maintenance activities in computerized maintenance systems Coordinate with equipment vendors and service technicians when needed Promote workplace safety and maintain a clean, organized maintenance area Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills in a manufacturing environment Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings Experience with preventive maintenance systems and maintenance documentation Working knowledge of wiring, conduit, and industrial piping installation Strong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks Preferred Experience Plastic injection molding or automated manufacturing equipment experience Exposure to robotics or automated tooling systems Familiarity with continuous improvement practices Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
