Job Summary:

Provides advanced Respiratory Care services to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring safe, effective treatment aligned with physician orders and department policies. Works independently and supervises other respiratory team members as delegated, contributing to high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and document the appropriateness of prescribed therapy, including making recommendations for patient care.
  
  
• 
  Administer aerosol, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management, maintaining accurate charts and records.
  
  
• 
  Draw arterial blood gases and interpret results to support clinical decisions.
  
  
• 
  Provide specialized respiratory treatments and procedures for patients with cardio respiratory conditions.
  
  
• 
  Educate nursing staff on patient monitoring and equipment use, fostering collaborative care efforts.
  
  
• 
  Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, generating records necessary for billing and compliance.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
  
  
• 
  Hold NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credentials.
  
  
• 
  Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  
  
• 
  Maintain valid state-specific respiratory care license or registration.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate at least two years of recent experience in respiratory therapy.
  
  
• 
  Be able to perform arterial blood gases, ventilator management, and other complex respiratory procedures.
