Health Care Technician I (S)

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct care services to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, some of whom have behavior problems and/or medical conditions. Services are in the form of training, activities, and assisting with basic care. In addition to direct care, the position carries out goaled programs to encourage independent functioning in all aspects of daily living.

To be considered for employment the applicant must be in good standing with the NC Health Care Personnel Registry. Employee will be required to successfully complete training through our Staff Development department which includes, but is not limited to NCI (North Carolina Intervention), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting. The HCT I position requires frequent lifting and bending.

Salary Range: $15,600.00 - $23,174.00. Recruitment Range: $15,600.00 - $22,310.00

• Ability to work with individuals who have multiple disabilities.

Physical Requirements: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering (picking, pinching, typing), grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, ability to exert up to 50 lbs of occasional force and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Visual Acuity Requirements: Visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work.

This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

Shifts:

• 1st Shift (7:00 am 12:30 pm) 3 to 4 days per week & every other weekend
• 2nd Shift (5:00 pm 10:00 pm) 4 days per week & every other weekend
• 2nd Shift (4:00 pm 9:30 pm) 3 to 4 days per week & every other weekend
• 2nd Shift (10:00 am 9:00 pm) every Saturday & Sunday
• 3rd Shift (11:15 pm 7:15 am) 3 to 4 days per week & every other weekend
• 3rd Shift (11:15 pm 9:45 am) every Friday & Saturday
