Step into a rewarding opportunity working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade for the 2026/2027 school year. This contract role in the Newark, DE area offers an engaging position for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) eager to contribute skills within a supportive educational environment. You'll collaborate closely with staff, students, and families to make a meaningful difference all year.
This assignment runs from August 19, 2026, to June 11, 2027, with schedules ranging from 35–40 hours per week. School hours vary by grade level, and scheduling is flexible within standard hours to fit your needs and school logistics. Whether you're an experienced professional or a Clinical Fellow, your passion and expertise are valued here.
Key Qualifications:
- Active or pending Delaware SLP or SLPA license required
- Experience with pediatric and school-based speech pathology or therapy
- Comfortable serving K–12th grade students
- Openness to both SLPs (CCC or CF) and SLPAs
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills a plus, not required
- Ability to work onsite and successfully complete a drug screen/background check
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes compliant with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized student plans
- Receive supervision and mentorship if you are a Clinical Fellow or SLPA
