Quality Control Inspector / Quality Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-site)
Pay Rate: $24.55 per hour
Schedule: 3rd shift, Monday–Friday, 10:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m.

Position Summary
Kelly Services is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Quality Control Inspector to perform routine and specialized testing on in-process materials, finished products, ingredients, and manufacturing supplies. This position helps ensure that products meet established quality and compliance standards.
The Quality Control Inspector will maintain accurate records, manage product samples according to retention requirements, operate laboratory equipment, and communicate quality concerns to production and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality testing and support special testing projects.
• Test in-process materials, finished products, ingredients, and manufacturing supplies.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Prepare standard testing solutions as required.
• Enter, review, and analyze test data using established procedures.
• Compare test results with specifications and escalate out-of-specification conditions.
• Maintain accurate quality records and sample-retention documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams to investigate and resolve quality concerns.
• Support continuous improvement and quality-related projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory and work area.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, quality, and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred.
• At least three years of experience in quality control, laboratory operations, food manufacturing, or a related manufacturing environment is a must
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong data-entry and recordkeeping skills.
• Basic math skills and the ability to interpret measurements, specifications, and graphs.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagrammed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
• Ability to communicate effectively throughout the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to reach, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical activities as needed.
• Ability to work in laboratory, manufacturing, refrigerated, and warm environments.
• Ability to work in areas with varying noise levels and temperatures.
• Visual acuity for close and distance vision, color differentiation, and depth perception.
• Ability to perceive and differentiate color, flavor, and odor when required.

Occasional overtime may be available based on business needs.
