Buyer/Planner (Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing)

The Buyer/Planner is responsible for planning and executing sales order demands through manufacturing and purchasing. Interacts with program management, engineering, and production departments to understand material and demand requirements. Provides production status updates to management and closely monitors the production process to ensure plans are completed on time Plan, analyze, and execute all the material requirements for various electromechanical assemblies and harnesses, PCB assemblies, custom fabrications Responsible for building and fostering supplier relationships to ensure that completion deadlines are met per the master sales forecasts or customer orders Using data and systems, manage inventory levels to maximize manufacturing production plans Review and coordinate MRP/ERP suggestions to support CTP schedules Partner with Buyer (Buyer/Planner) to create purchase orders to support requirements and production goals Research, quote, and purchase materials or services from executed planned sales order demands and requisitions submitted Responsible for expediting highly critical supplier orders that can have a significant delay and/or financial loss to the business resulting from unforeseen conditions Coordinates and Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department, and warehouse on material shortages and production planning issues to achieve schedules. Maintain inventory and planning parameters for material in ERP databaseto establish andmanage inventory targets Using available data, prepare procurement reports for the Management team Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed Required Skills and Abilities Degree preferred: BS in Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Business, or equivalent preferred CPIM, CPSM, or CPP highly desirable 3+ years of experience in Production purchasing and/or planning and MRP in a manufacturing environment 3+ years of procurement and managing strategic purchases with proven record of improvement Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize Experience working with Intuitive ERP is a plus TROLL SYSTEMS CORPORATION DOES NOT PROVIDE RELOCATION SERVICES #J-18808-Ljbffr Troll Systems Corporation
